4 out of 5 stars Game of life   July 24, 2007
Snorri Örn Arnaldsson (Reykjavik Iceland)
I've read through Game of Life and I enjoyed it very much. There are so many things to take from this book, not just into sports, but also some reflections on life. I would recommend this book to everybody.

As a coach I will use many things I found in this book. Wasn't everything it could have been but still a great read.

3 out of 5 stars Coaching advise from athletic coaches   June 27, 2007

A fun read, especially if yoiu're a sports fan. I read it in search of things that would help my own ability as a coach in my company. Much of it is light stuff but the easy read makes it fun nonetheless and there are few golden nuggets laced throughout the book.

2 out of 5 stars Idea is better than the book.   January 12, 2007

Saw this book on Amazon and thought it looked like my sort of book (junior high coach 19 years). Format is just too chopped up. Some of the coaches were of no interest to me. If you want John Wooden's view buy his books. The little write ups after each quote wore me out.

1 out of 5 stars needs some research   December 26, 2007

Having read only excerpts, I was shocked to read that Tony Dungy was hired as head coach by the Indianapolis Colts in 2002 by owner Robert Irsay. Irsay had been dead for five years (longer than that mentally). Hopefully the rest of the book does not contain such shoddy information.
