Inspiring & Entertaining September 29, 2006 Joanne V. Straub 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this book because I am a sports fan & love anything sports related. This is truly an inspiring book for sports fans and non-sports fans, men and women, adults and teens alike. There is something in there for everyone. I find it amazing that the author was able to get interviews with all of these great coaches.
The book reveals great insights into how and why these successful coaches are successful. These insights can be applied to everyone in all aspects of life. There are some great quotes by the coaches also. I cannot say enough good things about this book. It was an easy, enjoyable read.
This would make a great Christmas gift, hostess gift AND/OR coffee table book. I already have my coffee table edition. I am buying this book for a lot of people on my Christmas list. I'll also buy a few extra copies for those I may need a gift for but forgot to buy.
A great inspirational source January 16, 2007 M. Maloney (Meriden, CT United States) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I purchased this book while I was searching for a "golden nugget" for a speech I was preparing for high school students. What I found was an entire gold mine of inspirational quotes and ideas! I truly enjoyed this book, and found many bits and pieces that I will share with others. I've already purchased a gift copy, and have shared mine with several others. I would highly recommend "How To Succeed In The Game of Life" to high school and college coaches, teachers, counselors, ministers, and parents....anyone who is in the business of working with young people and advising them as they navigate the difficult road to their future. There's plenty within for the "older folks" who need to be re-inspired in their own lives as well.
This book couldn't have come at a better time for me October 10, 2006 Jennifer Vinci (Philadelphia, PA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I actually heard Christian Klemash doing a radio interview where he talked about this inspiring book and about 2 days later I was at the book store. This book is helping me try to figure out where I want to go and how I may get there. I recently just had my second back operation in 5 years. I will probably not be able to work in my profession again but with this book, I am hoping to succeed in other areas of my life. I can definitely use some of the philosphies that Christian has pulled from these great coaches, pull them together and push myself forward with confidance and believe in whatever it is I choose to do. Thanks Mr. Klemash.
