Product Description
The Definitive Guide to the Swing That Is Remaking Golf. By Michael Bennett & Andy Plummer, with Peter Morrice.Traditionally the golf swing requires coordination that few golfers have. Maverick Golf Instructors Michael Bennett & Andy Plummer spent a decade researching the swing and noted that few golfers have been able to lower their handicap by more than a stroke. Here with a combination of physiology and physics they have created a method called the Stack and Tilt". The result? A breakthrough method that big name professionals such as Mike Weir, Tommy Armour III and Aaron Baddeley have converted to; now accessible by everyone. Includes full-color photos, practice routines, test cases and point-by-point assistance.

5 out of 5 stars good book, good swing   July 19, 2010
middnite (South Dakota USA)
This is an excellent system for ball striking. Makes a person more consistent. It is not easy to learn, and there will be many topped or smothered shots, but it's worth the struggle. Book has detailed explanations and many pictures. Some instruction books tell you how to do things and let it go at that. This book also tells you how to correct your problems like pulling, pushing, etc.

5 out of 5 stars An easy to understand and follow GOLF SWING   July 10, 2010
A newbee with GPS (cincinnati, OH)
The book should be read in conjunction with the DVD set. They both have helped me a lot in gaining a repetitve golf swing. After 6 months of lessons at Golftec, I began to feel frustrated for knowing what the right things to do but I could not execute and the scores instead of going down, went up by 3 to 4 per 9 holes. . Then I read this book and watched their DVD, voila now I can FEEL the right move with backswing, then the right move for hitting pass the ball. Yesterday, I played 9 holes in the heat but was able to reduce my score from average score 45 to 40 by keeping my weight forward and extending the arms out. It felt so good to see the ball in the fairway.

The book needs more photos to illustrate the points and that is why the DVD set needs to be bought along w the book.

5 out of 5 stars Kindle & DVD Review-Stack & Tilt Golf Method   July 10, 2010
John R. Hawkins (Riverside, CA)
Both the Kindle book and DVD training information for the Stack and Tilt Golf Method are really effective. I have been working for several years to fix my golf swing which is dominated by an over the top, inside out swing that was not making good contact, hitting behind the ball, lacking power and control, etc. I was barely a 36 handicap index player!

Then, I purchase both the Kindle Book and the DVD training information from Amazon.com. Today, really began to apply only the 1st training lesson that being making good contact and creating a divot ahead of the ball. It works, really works well. Obviously, this is only day #1 but the Stack and Tilt method is working. I can feel the difference and have new confidence in making effective contact, etc. Even my power has increased.

I can begin to wonder what this will do for my golf swing. Today, I shot an honest 95. Could have easily been sub-90, even 85. I have three holes that were 3 over par. Ugly but I knew how to revert to the basics and make good contact by tilting, etc. Granted, I have a long way go go but I know if I keep trying and applying the guidelines, I will shoot sub 85 and better soon.

As you can see from my evaluation, I rated Stack and Tilt with 5 big stars. Yep. Good information. I think I now have a chance to be a better golfer. Thank you very much.

5 out of 5 stars Lowered my handicap   July 8, 2010

I was a 13 handicap 2 months ago. Since I read this book and applied the Stack and Tilt Method my handicap has dropped to an 8. I don't practice very much but my drives are a lot straighter and I've been scoring better than I ever have. My last scores are 76,75,77 and 80. It has helped my golf game better than anything I have ever tried.

5 out of 5 stars It works   July 6, 2010

This is an excellent book. There are many many technique books out there. I suspect that they all work for some people and not for others. I found this book particularly useful because one of my main problems was a reverse weight shift. Since this technique keeps the weight on the front foot throughout the swing it allowed me to turn a negative into a positive. Before purchasing the book I would strongly suggest you read some of the archived articles in Golf Digest and give the technique a try. If it seems to address your swing concerns buy the book as it gives you a more in depth analysis of the whole swing process
